Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!
Dear Hillsboro Online Academy and Homeschool Partnership Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are thrilled to have you as part of our Hillsboro Online Academy community and look forward to another exciting year of learning and growth. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we extend a warm welcome to each of you.
At Hillsboro Online Academy, our mission is to empower students to achieve academic excellence through flexible learning options within an inclusive, supportive, and accessible environment. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to supporting every student in their educational journey, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
We are excited to invite you to the Orientations on August 28th! This event is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect with our teachers and support staff, learn about Hillsboro Online Academy, and get all the information you need for a successful school year. You will also receive your technology and class schedules during the orientation. We look forward to seeing you there! Please check your emails and sign up for one of the time slots. Students will not be able to start any classes until they have completed the required orientation (one parent or guardian must also attend).
This year, our goal is to enhance our Community Engagement. We will strive to host regular virtual and
in-person events and workshops to foster a sense of community and connection among our students and families. These events will provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, and celebration. Our biggest dream is to start a Parent Group that will work together to significantly enhance the educational experience for our students by fostering a collaborative and supportive school community, advocating for students' needs, and providing valuable resources and opportunities for both students and parents.
As we embark on this new school year, we encourage you to stay involved and connected with our school community. Communication is key to a successful school experience, and we value your feedback and input. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
We are confident that the 2024-25 school year will be filled with memorable and rewarding experiences for all our students. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, we will make this a fantastic year! Please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
Warm Regards,
Shannon Lawson
