Aaliyah Harding Hillsboro Online Academy Rotary Student of the Month

Congratulations to Aaliyah Harding from Hillsboro Online Academy who is Hillsboro Rotary Club Student of the Month. Aaliyah received her award certificate accompanied by HOA teacher Ricardo Lara-Martinez at the Rotary lunch meeting. Growing up in Indiana, Aaliyah spent summers in the countryside of Kentucky. In fifth grade, she moved to Hillsboro with her family, where her parents hoped for better schooling. Although she started to face health challenges, Aaliyah continued to do her best, and in her junior year transferred to HOA after a major surgery. With help from family, friends, and staff at HOA, Aaliyah completed two semesters of work in one semester. That's a lot of work, and excellent time management! After graduation, Aaliyah would like to go into medicine, possibly radiology or social work. She has big plans for working on patient advocacy and quality care. We wish Aaliyah all the best as she continues her education and health journey!
